Cooking Gajar Ka Halwa with Skimmed Milk Powder tasty way (Holliday Recipe)

Today, I am going to share with you an easy and delicious recipe for cooking Gajar (carrot) Halwa with help of skimmed milk powder. To serve, we all need to eat healthy and delicious food. Carrot is a good source of essential nutrients required by our body like vitamin A. Gajar ka Halwa is a favorite of many people and today, I will tell you that it is very easy to cook it. 

The items we need to make Gajar ka Halwa

1) Gajar (Carrot) - 1 kg
2) Milk   - 2 Cup
3) Desi Ghee - 50 gram
4) Cardamom (small and Big) - 1 piece of each
5) Skimmed Milk - 1 Cup
6) Sugar - 100 gram or as per taste
7) Dry Fruits - 50 gram

How to prepare Gajar ka Halwa -

Step 1- First of all, you need to clean the carrots and then grate them to get a fine mixture.

Step 2- Take a comfortable utensil to make the Gajar ka Halwa and first heat the Desi Ghee in it. 

Step 3 - Mash small and big cardamom to break them and then add them to hot Ghee.

Step 4 - Add the grated carrots (gajars) to the utensil and roast the material for 15 minutes. 

Step 5 - Add 2 cup of milk and the skimmed milk to the roasted carrots.

Step 6 - Allow the milk and water content in the carrots to evaporate so that you can get a denser Gajar ka Halwa.

Step 7 - When the water content is almost gone, add sugar to the halwa. Allow the sugar to mix thoroughly in the halwa.

Step 8 - Switch off the heat and add dry fruits to the Halwa.

In these simple 8 steps, anybody can make a delicious Halwa in 30 to 40 minutes. The look and feel of this Gajar ka Halwa will be like the Gajar Halwas available at any sweet shop. 

In this recipe, we are not using mawa or khoya. Instead of using skimmed milk which will give the same look and taste as we have added khoya in our Gajar ka halwa, however, it adds much fewer calories to the plate as compared to Khoya.
