Already earlier, I have written a post about why the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in writing is a deadly affair. Today, I will discuss in more detail on AI and its impact on common people. We all know the power of Artificial intelligence (AI) and its increasing use in transforming human lives across the world. Many things have become so easy for human beings to perform with the help of AI that they are able to achieve more than they used to achieve in the past. Many experts and social scientists believe that this trend is harmful to human beings because they are losing their skills to AI and advanced technology. Humans are becoming more dependent on technology day by day thus forgetting many of the things. Even today when these technologies and innovations are in the initial stage still we see them making a great impact on human beings and their lives. Artificial intelligence (AI) has the power to improve itself with each passing time. Thus we see a threat in the eyes of many people that in the coming days, AI may take control of human beings as we already see in many sci-fi movies.
Futures are hard to predict and the fears of people are also true to some extent but how much these things will impact the human lives of people in future is still a debatable issue.
In my view, things are becoming very advance and automated very fast which is difficult for many human beings to catch with. There are still many simple and innocent people living in this world who have limited access to such technologies. These advanced technologies in the hands of some clever and smart people may give current powerful people a way to control the lives of many people in this world.
Moreover, human emotions are a very delicate issue but AI is fast learning or copying human emotions thus in future, AI may interfere with humans by manipulating their emotions. A skilled robot with advanced emotional artificial intelligence may pose a threat to humans. If these robots learnt to exploit human emotions then they can create many problems for human beings.
We humans with limited power are a no match to the highly skilled robots who are trained in human emotions so we need to create some methods to check this growth in the AI segment so it never hurts the common human beings.
Reply of AI on this matter -
"It is difficult to predict the future with certainty, but it is unlikely that AI will take all jobs of people in the future. While AI and automation have already transformed many industries and eliminated some jobs, they have also created new types of jobs and opportunities. It is important to note that AI and automation are not perfect replacements for human workers, as there are many tasks that require the unique skills and capabilities of humans, such as creativity, empathy, and critical thinking.
Additionally, some jobs are inherently difficult to automate due to their complexity, variability, or unpredictability. However, it is true that AI and automation will continue to impact the job market in the coming years, and it is important for individuals and organizations to adapt and develop the skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly automated world. This may involve reskilling or upskilling to stay competitive and find new opportunities in emerging industries.
AI and automation have already had a significant impact on many industries, from manufacturing and transportation to healthcare and finance. In some cases, they have eliminated jobs that were previously done by humans, such as assembly line workers or bank tellers. However, they have also created new types of jobs and opportunities, such as data analysts or AI engineers. It is worth noting that some jobs are more susceptible to automation than others. Jobs that involve repetitive tasks, such as data entry or routine manufacturing tasks, are more likely to be automated in the near future.
However, jobs that require human skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and empathy are less likely to be automated. Moreover, AI and automation are not perfect replacements for human workers, as they lack the ability to understand complex social and emotional cues, adapt to unpredictable situations, or make ethical decisions. Human workers are also better suited for tasks that require physical dexterity, such as repair work or maintenance.
Overall, it is likely that AI and automation will continue to transform the job market in the coming years, but they will not eliminate all jobs. It is important for individuals and organizations to stay informed about the latest developments in AI and automation and develop the skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly automated world."
Though, AI looks more optimistic and positive on this matter than me because it sees a more positive role of AI in the welfare of people. I do agree that AI can make many things very easy for us while also leaving many people out of jobs too. Let's see in future what happens in future while hoping for the best.
