Reality of Nano-Chips in 2000 Rs New Indian Currency Notes

Nano-chips, Rs 2000, Notes.

From the first currency notes to the currency notes today we have, many things have changed. All governments around the world try to improve their currency notes so that no one can make the fake currency. This is also true for India; therefore, Government of India introduced new currency notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 notes after making old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes illegal from the midnight of 8 Nov, 2016. This move targeted at the black money holding in India, usually supported by most of the Indians. This news first shocked all Indians and created many rumors about the New Currency notes.

One of such rumor is about GPS trackable Nano-Chips in the Rs 2000 Notes. You can find many videos and reports on the social media about this topic. There are many videos on the YouTube where, they are actually showing you a chip inside the New Rs 2000 note. At the end, they are saying that it is for the fun and nothing else.

I decided to further dig into this matter so that we can look into all the possibilities. I read about the possibilities in the nano technology.

Is it possible to put GPS Trackable Nano-chips in Rs 2000 Notes? -

My answer is Yes and No, there are already many such nano-chips developed around the world which we can't see with the naked eyes; however, they can be tracked through the satellites.

However, there is no such information available that such technology can be used for currency notes. Moreover, if they use such technology, then they need to change the present note printing process so that they can put a Nano-chip in the Rs 2000 currency notes. Further, it needs a good amount of money to make all this work well.

With millions of currency notes required to be printed, it looks difficult that the government of India may have put nano-chips inside Rs 2000 currency notes.

These Rs 2000 new currency notes may have some advance features with the help of nanotechnology; however, we need to wait for some time to see what is stored in them.

With the advancement in nanotechnology, the days are not far away when we will in reality see such features in currency notes.

Will Nano-Chips be visible to naked eyes?

The biggest joke about Rs 2000 currency notes is that they contain an invisible chip and this chip become visible when we cool these Rs 2000 notes in freezer or put notes in a chemical liquid.

There are many videos on the YouTube which are showing chips inside the Rs 2000 notes. With the size of a SIM card, these chips are shown in most of the videos.

I want to confirm that all these videos are fake and they are either made for fun or with some other intention.

Nanotechnology deals with things at a very small size not visible to naked eyes; therefore, if there is any nano-chip in a new Rs 2000 currency note; then, it can't be seen without a microscope.

So don't worry and don't believe the videos showing visible Chips inside a currency note.
