Abhishek Bachan and Aishwarya Rai Bachan hardly need any introduction and they are the most successful and best couples of Bollywood. They married on 20-4-2007 and that time, there were speculations about their marriage that will there marriage be a success or not? Till now their married life is going very smoothly and they become proud parents of a beautiful daughter Aaradhya on 16th Nov, 2012.
The marriage of Abhishek and Aishwarya was unique in one more way. Aishwarya Rai is older than Abhishek Bachan by 2 yrs and 2 months which is the opposite of the general trend in India where mostly groom age is more than a bride. Date of Birth of Aishwarya Rai is 1st November 1973 and Date of Birth of Abhishek Bachan is February 5th, 1976. Even after six years of their marriage, this matter is the main point of many talks and at many places where the age of the girl is more than a boy, then this example is given.

Abhishek Bachan has followed the example of his father Amitabh Bachan who has married Jaya Bachan much shorter than him. The height of the Amitab Bachan is 6.2 ft and whereas the height of the Jaya Bachan is just 5.2 ft. Despite this Amitab Bachan and Jaya Bachan are among most successful couples of the Indian film industry. In the time when other film star couples break away, this couple has remained committed towards their married life. Both Abhishek and Aishwarya also look following this example. In the end, we can say, age difference hardly matters when husband and wife love each other.
just stopping by to say hi
ReplyDeleteThis is a pointless article. There is only a 2-year age difference between them, which is not very significant. It's not a big deal. If people want to give "examples" to defend their relationships, then they should instead use examples of successful marriages with much larger age gaps (example: Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, etc). To use Aishwarya and Abhishek as an example basically tells the world that Desi men and their parents are sooooooooooooo narrowminded that they actually get stuck or hung-up over something like a 2-years age difference. Now wonder there is now an epidemic among the Desi community where women find themselves single in their 30's and 40's. It's because Desi men and their families make mountains out of things that women cannot control such as their skin color (not fair-skinned enough) or something like a mere......a MERE........2-year age difference. Being a Desi woman myself I will say that Desi men (whether Pakistani or Indian or whatever) can be unbelievable ridiculous. In this regard Goray men or men of other cultures are 100 times better because they will still be more willing to accept a woman who is "older" or a woman who was "previously divorced"....or a woman who is no longer in her 20's..........or a woman who might be a single mother. But Dei men...thoo thoo on some of you.
