How our mind is responsible for our illness ?

Image
There are many health issues that are directly related to the mind. We have already discussed that suicide rates are increasing at an alarming 7% rate in India . This clearly suggests that everything is not right at the mental level. To enjoy sound health, any person needs a strong mind because our thoughts are our friend and enemy simultaneously.  The relationship between the mind and physical health is complex and multifaceted, involving various psychological, physiological, and environmental factors. It's important to understand that while the mind can influence physical health, it's not the sole determinant of illness. Stress and Immune Response:  If we go thirty-forty years back in India then many people have not heard about words like stress and tension etc. But today even a small child is suffering from stress. Chronic stress and emotional factors can affect the immune system. Prolonged stress can lead to the release of stress hormones, which may suppress the immune res...

My Thoughts of the Happy Diwali (Deepavali) Festival of Lights

Image
In my last post, I shared my childhood memories of the Diwal i. Diwali holds immense significance in the lives of Indians, representing a festival eagerly anticipated and celebrated with tremendous enthusiasm. People across India diligently prepare for weeks in anticipation of this joyous occasion. Shopping is an integral part of the festivities, as individuals seek to purchase items, big or small, to adorn their homes during Diwali. This cultural inclination has given rise to the tradition of Diwali bonuses, commonly observed in India. The peak day for shopping is believed to be Dhanteras, which precedes Diwali by two days. Also read - Importance and significance of Diwali                   According to Indian customs, purchasing Dhanteras is a gesture believed to attract blessings from the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, ensuring prosperity throughout the year for the family. Consequently, markets experience a surge in foot traffic, not only on...

Dispute between India and Canada (What the solution?)

Image
Developed nations like Canada and the USA always have double standards when dealing with developing nations. Whatever they do, they term it right but when a other nation does the same then they start creating noise. India and Canada dispute is also of this kind in which Canada is blaming India for the murder of its citizen but not mentioning that it has not responded to India's concerns. I am also a well-wisher of freedom of speech but we can't allow it to create troubles for the other sovereign nations. In the name of freedom of speech, people should not cross their limits and do things which hurt the sentiments of others.  In this world, every person should feel free to do and say whatever he wants but this should not mean that he starts creating trouble for other nations.  I am not here to support or defame the Khalistan movement because I am only here to say a few things which I find inappropriate. If someone is asking for its demands then he should not lower his speech an...

Does the craze for Crypto currencies have faded away in people of India?

Image
Today, I will discuss the latest trend in crypto world, If want to know more about crypto currencies then You can read my old post - What is crypto currency? In the past few years, I saw a great trend in people investing in crypto currency to make good profits. Initially, people in India were little hesitant to invest in crypto because of non-availability of proper Indian investment channels for crypto plus less awareness about the product. Soon, people realized that they can make huge money by investing in crypto currencies then many new people started investing in crypto currencies. By seeing this increasing number of Indian investors in Crypto currencies, we also saw the launch of many Indian platforms to invest in crypto currencies.  But with time, the craze in people looks to have faded away and today, people are not so excited about crypto as they were excited about it a few years back.  The two of the main reasons behind this were the failure of a few top crypto ...

Childhood Memories of Happy Diwali Celebrations

Image
From my childhood Diwali has been the most celebrated festival for me because this festival was associated with firecrackers, sweets of many kinds and enjoyment. Diwali, also known as Deepavali or the Festival of Lights, holds immense significance in various cultures and religions, primarily Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism. The festival is celebrated for several reasons, and its significance varies among different communities and regions.  Diwali is so important and significant that many Indians who now live in foreign nations celebrate it those nations too. We all have many sweet memories of the Diwali festival with us.  My father used to send Happy Diwali cards to hundreds of his friends and relatives. It was my job to print the cards and post them. I always enjoyed this extra work. In reply my father also used to get Happy Diwali cards from others. Today, many people do not prefer physicals greeting cards and they use electronic cards because they can be sent through email...

How do people get trapped in credit cards?

Image
Today, it has become a common story where millions of people get trapped in huge credit card bills. In this article, we will go into detail of the reasons responsible for all this. People can get trapped into credit card debt for a variety of reasons, often due to a combination of financial, psychological, and societal factors. Here are some common ways in which people find themselves in credit card debt: Lack of Financial Literacy: Many individuals lack a fundamental understanding of how credit cards work, including interest rates, fees, and repayment terms. Without this knowledge, they may misuse credit cards and accumulate debt without fully grasping the consequences.  Ease of Access to Credit: Credit cards offer easy access to money, and the approval process can be relatively simple. People may apply for credit cards without fully considering their ability to repay the debt, especially if they are enticed by attractive introductory offers or rewards programs. Minimum Payment T...

See how an ordinary woman became the mother of many animals

Image
We have always heard many stories of mother love and today, I will tell you a similar story but with a difference. In this story the mother is an ordinary human while the children are animals (leopards, Lions etc.). I am talking about Savitriamma, an employee at the Bannerghatta Biological Park. She works as animal whisperer at the park and took care of many small animals at the park. It was all destined for Savitriamma but she reached here accidentally when she was offered the job in 2002 on compassionate grounds after her husband passed away. Soon, she got recognition for becoming a motherly figure for many animals in the park. Below, you can watch the story of Bannerghatta Biological Park’s own animal whisperer.

In the previous post on suicides, " Suicides are increasing at the rate of 7% in India ", I discussed how people are resorting to suicide and its rate is increasing fast. It is bad news for any society and country if suicides are increasing because it tells us that everything is not right deep within the society. So, we need to take all possible steps to stop this increase in suicides because we are losing so many precious lives.
