  Today, I had an unexpected yet profoundly refreshing experience—I found myself relaxing in the lawn outside my room. What began as an inconvenience, a power outage that forced me outside, soon transformed into a rare moment of serenity, a blessing in disguise.  As a developing country, India faces severe electricity shortages during the scorching summer months. With no alternative, I stepped outside and lay on the grass, embracing the natural surroundings. What I encountered was nothing short of remarkable. As I rested, the small blades of grass beneath me created a subtle pinching sensation, akin to acupuncture, offering a soothing effect I hadn't expected. I gazed at the vast, open sky, realizing that it had been ages since I had last done so. In the rush of daily life, I had inadvertently disconnected from the simple yet profound beauty of nature. Are we becoming Nature Unfriendly and Development Friendly?

Everywhere today we see a race for the development. From government to the private sector, everyone is selling development and development. We are shown dreams that development and commercialization hold all the keys to our happiness. However, no one wants to give this answer that the development at what cost. Why there is no talk about nature and improving nature? Why development only means more concrete buildings, cutting trees, reducing forest and agricultural lands? Why no one talks about the nature, forests, wildlife? We hardly listen our big leaders/politicians giving any positive statement about wildlife and nature. Today's politicians are only concerned about vote bank politics and concerns of big industrialists. Therefore, we see more policies which are oriented towards vote bank politics and industrialization. People are lured to believe that big industries are the solution of their problems.
