In recent years, acceptance of Valentine’s Day among Indians has increased very sharply and now, more numbers of Indians are using this festival for sending the message of love to their loved ones. In western world, Valentine’s Day is already a big market and large numbers of people send gifts and flowers on this day to their friends and partners. Though in India, we people have started celebrating this festival recently; therefore, very less people actually know story related with this day.

To the contrary, people of western world are also not confident on single story related to Valentine’s Day, only one thing is certain that this day is celebrated in the memory of Saint Valentine. There are number of versions of stories related to Saint Valentine are available in records and all these stories only points towards Saint Valentine standing for love and therefore becoming symbol of love and romance.

Even after many centuries after the existence of Saint Valentine, this day is still every much popular as a day of love and celebrated as a day for spreading love. Today, this day is celebrated by billions of people across the world and hardly, anyone of them is really concerned about the real story of Valentine Day. Only one thing is certain and related to this day that people are continuing with the tradition of Saint Valentine of spreading love in the world.

In countries like India, this day is becoming very popular among young generation which is finding this day as a good option to show their love. However, this day is also finding strong resistant from the certain people and groups, those are finding it against Indian values and traditions. However, present generation which is fast accepting the foreign traditions is also accepting this day with enthusiasm.
