About Himachali (Pahari) Dham (Lunch) and its Pictures

It is very hard to separate Himachal Preadesh and Dham because Dham is an integral part of Himachali Tradition. Dham is local name of lunch prepared in Himachali style. Dhams are not only popular in Hiamchal; however, they are loved across the world. As I belong to Himachal Pradesh so I get chance to attend many such dhams. A Dham is given to relatives and local friends to celebrate occasions like marriages, birthdays or any other good occasions. Dham also provide a great chance to taste some of best Himachali Delicacies.

Some of main Food Items Prepared during a Dham are –
1) Mukand (Sip) Bari
2) RajMah
3) Chhuhare ka Raita
4) Chane ki Dal
5) Karhi
6) Mah Ki Dal
7) Khata (Channe/Florian)
8) Mitha Bhat

Though, today we are seeing fusion of Himachali food items with other popular food items. The other unique thing about a Dham is way of organizing it. Everyone sits on the ground and eats in handmade plates which are made of Leaves. Everyone is served equally and leaves their seats when each one finished with food. I hope association of Dham and Himachal will continue for near future too and we will get chance to enjoy it again and again. Below, you can watch some of pictures of Himachali dham.

How to find Happiness in Life?

find, happiness, life,

Many times, we came across people who always remain unhappy and we hardly find a single trace of happiness on their faces. When we ask these people that why they are unhappy then they blame others or past circumstances for their unhappiness. This is a common story of most of the unhappy people. They all believe that others are the reason for their unhappiness even if these people do not live with them anymore. One of the main reasons of unhappiness of these people is their tendency to remain stuck in the past moments and not allow present moment to open new options for them.

During life, we all struggle with past and future because we constantly remember our past moments and we worry about our future. In meantime, we totally miss our present time. To stay happy in life, we need to remember two things. First, happiness is present inside us and it doesn’t depend on anyone else. Second, the present moment is the most precious asset in our hands. Therefore, it is important to bury bad memories of the past with time because no one can alter his past however, we can ruin our present by worrying too much about the past. Same apply to future too; do not waste your time by worrying about future.

Every person should develop a confidence to face his future boldly. Similarly, develop a habit to not allow past moments to ruin your present time. Finally, understand great secret of life that Happiness is inside job and we can not allow others or circumstance to ruin it. When we commit to ourselves that we will remain happy under all conditions then we find happiness in all walks of life.

Wrong Order delivery by Tradus.in and homeshop18.com. How convinent is online shopping?

We all know this fact that it take just few minutes to shop online and we can buy anything from numbers of online stores. However, recently I released that it may be very easy to shop online; however, it is very very difficult to return products or deal with wrong orders. Below I am giving example of two leading shopping portal and negligence caused by them.

Tradus.in – Last week, I gave order for a Polo T-shirt from Tradus.in, ibibo.com company shopping portal. Three days back when I got the order then I have no option but to scream because there was no T-shirt in it. In the place of T-Shirt, they sent me lady snug tight. Finally, I tried to contact customer care of tradus.in which hardly exist and sent them many complaints and mails. All emails failed to reach destination because despite providing email addresses, they do not accept mails. Till writing this article, I am waiting for their response which looks very slow.

Pictures of Wrong Order Delivered by Tradus.in

Homeshop18.com – I ordered a dry sheet for my new born son from homeshop18.com. I ordered by M (Middle) size of Rs 350. However, when I received order then it was S (Size) sheet of Rs 199. I called Homeshop18 helpline number. They asked me to follow some instructions and gave me an outstation number of TNT courier which I later found that does not exist. So far, I have wasted Rs 40 on making calls. Still I do not know my order will be replaced or not.

Pictures of Wrong Order Delivered by Homeshop18

Through, this article I want to make a point that everything is not totally right with online shopping. It is very difficult to replace products and it cause lot of headache in return. Many times, we do not get same products which are actually shown on website like happened with a Saree bought from homeshop18 where designed of actual Saree delivered to me varies significantly from the original Saree shown on site. So if, you are planning to buy online then do keep in mind that you may be buying a trouble for yourself.

Control your life and live Happily

One of major reasons of frustrations in millions of people is that they do not have control over their lives. It means that they can’t do independently what they want to do or experience. Human life start with many restrictions put by parents, society, culture, nation, religion etc.

Thus because of such restrictions on various dimensions of life, a common person finds it hard to live a life as he wants. When someone tries to break these restrictions and live his life as per his free will then he faces hard rejections by people concerned.

Every Human being is a social animal and it is hard for him to live alone or take actions which are disapproved by society. Due to such concerns, many people live a restricted life where they do not have full control over their lives. In this mental attitude towards concerns of others, people sometimes miss their true potential or identity which leads to frustrations in them.

When we have control over our life then we can live it on our own terms which can give great fulfillment and happiness to us. For true happiness in life; we all should control our own live and free ourselves to experience true potential of life.

Become Millionaire with Habit of Regular Saving

Mostly, we believe that we need to earn lots of money for becoming extremely rich; however, we mostly miss a vital ingredient required to become rich in life. This vital ingredient is good habit of regular saving. Saving has great power in it to increase our wealth many times and to complete numbers of our dreams. I want to tell about my friend who first become Lakhpati with the help of habit of regular saving and now slowly, his savings are going to make him crorepati soon. My friend saved hard when my other friends did not give any importance to saving.

Today with his habit of saving, he has two plots worth Rs 25 Lakhs and a good house. He used to save 30 to 70% of his earning depending on circumstances which may look impossible to many. After accumulating good savings for two to three years, he used to invest his savings in to land or gold. With time, price of land and gold increased many times so his wealth has also increased many times. Amazing thing about him is that he is employment with moderate salary of few thousand rupees only. Today, he has more wealth than most of his friends.

He is true and self made crorepati in my eyes because he earned crore rupees through his wise efforts only. In this whole story, main role is played by his habit of savings. Most of people in India save less than 1% of total earning; therefore, miss financial benefits offered by saving. With good habit of saving, it is possible for any person to save few thousand to few lakh rupees in a single year only. Soon, this money can be invested wisely for getting better results. With combination of hard saving and wise investing, any person can become first Lakhpati and then shortly a Crorepati.

Make free or cheap call with VoIP solutions available on 3G

If you are using 3G enabled phones with 3G active connections then it is very much possible for you to make free or cheap national and international calls. Today, there are many applications available on android store, Nokia Store, Iphone etc to make almost free calls to any one using similar applications. These applications integrate VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) with them for doing long distance calls at the cheapest rates.

Now from India people can call America, UK and Dubai for free or by paying few Indian rupees only. These rates are 100% to 300% times lower than the rates of call charges available with various telephone operators. So far, VoIP is not successful in India because of the poor internet services. However, with the entry of 3G and high speed broad band with wifi capabilities , it is possible to make easy VoIP calls by using these applications.

Two of these popular applications are Fring and Nimbuzz. Not only people can make free or cheap phone calls to others; however, they can do high quality video calls to any person using these applications irrespective of his location. These applications are free to download and easy to operate. People can easily integrate other VoIP based services to these applications for making cheap calls.

Thoughts on Valentine’s Day

In recent years, acceptance of Valentine’s Day among Indians has increased very sharply and now, more numbers of Indians are using this festival for sending the message of love to their loved ones. In western world, Valentine’s Day is already a big market and large numbers of people send gifts and flowers on this day to their friends and partners. Though in India, we people have started celebrating this festival recently; therefore, very less people actually know story related with this day.

To the contrary, people of western world are also not confident on single story related to Valentine’s Day, only one thing is certain that this day is celebrated in the memory of Saint Valentine. There are number of versions of stories related to Saint Valentine are available in records and all these stories only points towards Saint Valentine standing for love and therefore becoming symbol of love and romance.

Even after many centuries after the existence of Saint Valentine, this day is still every much popular as a day of love and celebrated as a day for spreading love. Today, this day is celebrated by billions of people across the world and hardly, anyone of them is really concerned about the real story of Valentine Day. Only one thing is certain and related to this day that people are continuing with the tradition of Saint Valentine of spreading love in the world.

In countries like India, this day is becoming very popular among young generation which is finding this day as a good option to show their love. However, this day is also finding strong resistant from the certain people and groups, those are finding it against Indian values and traditions. However, present generation which is fast accepting the foreign traditions is also accepting this day with enthusiasm.

Deep Rooted Selfishness in Human Life

Many times, we blame many people around us for being selfish with us; however, with time, I have realized in life that selfishness is present at the core of human existence and it shapes human existence. It is very difficult for us to imagine a world without having selfish people in it. Selfishness of each person motivates him or her to achieve specific goals and accomplishments in life.

At core every person is a selfish being and we first look for our welfare first than for the others. We expect from others to behave selflessly; however, in reality when we ask for this then we are behaving ourselves in selfish manner. Our world is unique and moves forwards because selfishness motivates people to move forward leaving behind what is not important or not related to them.

Selfishness is attached with human ego and it helps a person in shaping his or her own identity. In this world, every person is motivated by his self ego to do numbers of selfish acts to get what he feels important in his life. To achieve such things in life, many times people do not care about others and their emotions. Finally, we level such people as selfish human beings; however, in reality we all are selfish in some or other way.

If any how, all people in world starts behaving selflessly then our world may not retain same charm and attraction. Though, it is wrong to be highly selfish in every aspect of life; however, it is also important to understand that selfishness will remain part of human existence.

Book review- "Wings of Fire" (Must Read)

Wings of Fire, APJ Abdul Kalam, Book, Review

“Wings of Fire” is an autobiography of former President of India and an eminent scientist Shri A P J Abdul Kalam. It is very important for every Indian and especially for youth to read this autobiography. It is not because he is a former president and an eminent scientist, therefore every Indian should read it, however this autobiography really has good knowledge to share with us, a knowledge which is very difficult to get elsewhere.

My Thoughts on Republic Day

Republic day is celebrated on 26th January every year in India. The major reason behind the celebration of 26th January as Republic Day of India is that on 26th January, 1950 India became fully sovereign nation because constitute of India came into force first time on this day. Other reason behind the celebration of Republic Day is routed in Indian national congress’s decision to celebrate this day as Republic day of India every year during the Lahore session. From 1950, Indians are observing 26 January as Republic day of India.

On this day, whole nation remains on holiday and people of India salute the sovereignty of India by hoisting Indian Flag. This day is celebrated at different levels and in all parts of India. This day is also used to show the muscle power of armed forces and diversity of Indian culture. More or less Republic days of most of nations resemble with each other and to some extent our Republic day celebrations also come under the same category.

Great Indian Sale (Win up to Rs 4 crore)

I remember my childhood day when we lined up in front of TV sets to watch Republic day parade streamed live on TV. On those days, large numbers of people specially visit Delhi to watch this event live from the Rajpath, however, today this enthusiasm for the Republic day is missing in people and very less number of people really seems interested in visiting Delhi for watching Republic day parade. It is not easy for me to predict what has caused this change or we need to change Republic day celebrations for making them more attractive or we allow everything to happen as it is happening.

Today, India has seen growth in many segments and thinking of many people about life has also changed. Present Indians are busier with their life and work and second, we are also becoming a part of global village where no boundaries exist. Therefore, nobody knows exactly that what future has stored for us, however one thing is clear that we are heading for some non stoppable changes.
